Resolve Software Group Announces New CEO

Date: 16 July 2014

PRESS RELEASE - 09 November 2016 - Resolve Software Group (RSG) today announced the appointment of Steve Hoy as the company's new Chief Executive Officer, effective 5th December 2016.

Hoy succeeds Chris Morison who has departed after a successful 5-year tenure at the helm of RSG. Morison grew the company, products, and customer base, culminating in the successful sale of the company on the 8th April 2016. RSG was bought by Jonas Software Australia – one of 6 business units that form Constellation Software Inc., a publicly listed company on the Toronto Stock Exchange, with revenues over $2bn, staff in excess of 11,500, and market capitalisation over $13bn.

Speaking about his time with RSG, Morison said, “Together we have achieved a lot over the last 5 years, and I am immensely proud of that. Of what we have been able to do for shareholders, of what we have been able to do for customers, and of what we have been able to do for ourselves in terms of growth, skills and future opportunities.”

Hoy brings a wealth of experience to the role, and is very familiar with RSG. Between 2008 and 2013, Hoy was RSG’s Chief Operating Officer. With this history under his belt, he understands RSG’s products, processes, and market, which will enable him to take the company forward through its next phase of growth.

“Chris has done a phenomenal job over the last 5 years, and will be a very hard act to follow. I'm very excited to be rejoining Resolve as we start on the next stage of our journey to grow and adapt our industry leading products and customer service to meet our customers ever evolving dynamic case management needs,” says Hoy.

Hoy has strong leadership experience of technology focused organisations in both domestic and international markets. With an emphasis on creating a great working culture for great people, he has been able to implement strategies that drive revenue growth and improved capability through innovative technology solutions and processes that also ensure cost efficiency.

Jeff McKee (CEO of Jonas Software Australia) says, “This is a great outcome for Resolve, and I believe that the very best candidate has been chosen for this critical role. We look forward to watching Steve take Resolve to the next level.”
